We take analytical design to mean the optimisation of samples, the selection of correct analytical methods and the standardisation of evaluation procedures and data management.

Certification is the confirmation of conformity of a product or a management system with a standard (e.g. the standard ISO 9001:2008).

Since the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol and its implementation within the European Union with the Directive 2003/87/EC regarding a system for trade with greenhouse gas emission certificates, companies which are subject to these directives are obliged to implement a CO2 management system. The emission declarations which are drafted annually must be verified by externally approved experts.

FBG® (fluidized bed granulates) are sands which are specially tailored to the requirements of fluidised bed plants which are directly developed and marketed by M.U.T.

Functional minerals are specially prepared and property-optimised mineral products which have a crucial impact on the properties of the end products in which they are used, e.g. mineral fillers in paper, plastics, paints and varnishes.

The term 'process capability' comes from statistical process control and is a measure of whether a process is executed under controlled conditions and it evaluates whether and how well the statistical distribution of process results fits in specified limit values.

A procedural chart (of a production plant) is a graphic depiction outlining the main units (usually with symbols) in procedural sequence. Procedural diagrams should act as clear overall overview of technical processes, therefore details are usually dispensed with. The actual spatial arrangement of the machines is also disregarded. The individual symbols are connected with arrows to symbolise the flow of materials.

CPI Correction- Prevention – Improvement is a measurement management system developed by M.U.T. expanding on the requirements of ISO 9001:2008
